OPPORTUNITES
Touchscreen Visual Working Memory Study: Still recruiting!
Study Purpose: to better understand Parkinson's disease (PD) and deep brain stimulation (DBS) while doing a touchscreen cognitive task, electroencephalography (EEG), and motion/eye-tracking
Methodology: Recording brain signals using EEG, which is a harmless, non-invasive way of studying brain signals. Studying brain signals associated with visual working memory (a component of human thinking) and arm movement. Completing brief demographic, motor, and cognitive questionnaires.
Data collected will inform the future development of interventions and tools to support daily living and independence among aging adults with PD and mild memory loss.
Consult the recruitment flyer at left for details.
Is it possible to slow Parkinson’s Disease progression?

Eligibility Criteria:
Diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease
Age 50–80
Not currently on symptomatic therapy (i.e. not on any PD meds yet), and not expected to require symptomatic therapy within the next 12 months
Want to improve research? Interested in neurology?
We’re building a registry of individuals with or without neurological conditions, and we want your help. If you sign up for the registry, our research teams will be able to contact you with future study opportunities that might interest you.
